A QR Menu Example You Can Actually Poke At: A Tour of /k/demo

Walk through Kafedeyim's live demo venue page stop by stop — branded header, campaign banner, menu, gift wheel, Wi-Fi card — and see exactly what's free and what's Pro.

Reading about a venue page is like reading about a flat white. So let's do this the other way around: open /en/k/demo on your phone, keep this tab next to it, and I'll walk you through it stop by stop. It's a real, fully-populated QR menu example — a demo venue page running on the Pro plan, with a menu, a wheel, a campaign and branding already filled in.

At every stop I'll tell you which tab of the owner panel produced that thing, and whether it's free or Pro.

Stop 1: the header

First thing you see: the venue name, a logo, and a color that isn't Kafedeyim's default rose. Scroll and the buttons follow that color.

That's the Venue info tab — logo and theme color live there. Both are Pro. On the free plan the page still exists at your permanent /k/your-slug address, still has your name and slogan, still works perfectly. It just wears our colors instead of yours.

One detail worth stealing: that slug never changes. It's frozen at signup on purpose, so a QR code you laminated in March still resolves in December.

Stop 2: the campaign banner

Under the header, a banner. A happy hour window, say, or a new dessert.

That's the Campaigns tab: a title (2-80 characters), a body (up to 240), optional start and end dates. It shows while it's active and inside its window, then quietly stops.

Honest bit: a campaign banner is purely informational. No coupon, no code, no redemption. It's a sign, not a mechanic. You can write campaigns on the free plan and they'll wait in your panel; they only appear to guests on Pro.

Stop 3: the module cards

Three cards: Menu, Games, Gift Wheel.

  • Menu — free, on every plan.
  • Games — free. The same 28-game grid as our homepage. Any table started here is attributed to the venue, so it shows up in the owner's numbers. Try Taboo while you're in there.
  • Gift Wheel — Pro. Build it for free; it spins for guests only on Pro.

Cards only appear if you've filled them in and switched them on in the Venue info tab. An empty venue page shows an empty venue page.

Stop 4: the menu

This is the part most owners came for, so poke at it properly. Category tabs across the top, a search box, photos, prices, little tags.

All of it from the Menu tab, all of it free, forever:

  • Unlimited categories and items.
  • Per item: name, description (120 characters per language), price and currency, a photo (5 MB max, JPEG/PNG/WebP), and up to 6 tags from a fixed list of seven — new, popular, vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, spicy, chef.
  • Up to 3 languages: one primary plus two extras, chosen from tr, en, de, fr, es, it, ru and ar. A guest whose phone language matches one of yours lands in it automatically; everyone else gets your primary, with a switcher on the page.

And the thing you notice by its absence: no cart. No checkout. This digital menu example is view-only by design. It's a menu, not a delivery app — your staff still takes the order.

Stop 5: the wheel

Open the wheel on the demo and spin it. One spin per device, per venue, per day.

Behind it, the Wheel tab: each reward has a label, a weight from 1 to 1000 (higher = comes up more often), a daily limit (0 means unlimited, resets at UTC midnight), and an optional "blank slice" for a no-win. The draw runs on the server with crypto-grade randomness, and rewards that hit their daily cap drop out.

Win, and you get a 6-character code from an alphabet with no 0, 1, I or O — nothing gets misread at the register. It's valid for exactly 5 minutes, with a countdown ticking on the guest's screen. That's deliberate: a "walk over to the counter now" window, not a coupon that dies in someone's pocket.

Your cashier checks it at /en/verify — type the code, get valid / already used / expired / not found. No login, because the real spending cap is the per-reward daily limit.

Two caveats, honestly: the one-spin-per-day limit is cookie and localStorage based, so a guest who clears cookies can spin again. And there's no free trial — the wheel is Pro, €19 / $19 a month, or ten months' price for a year.

Stop 6: the Wi-Fi card

Near the bottom: network name, password, a copy button, and a QR code. Guest scans it, phone joins. No spelling your password across the room.

Two fields in the Venue info tab. Free on any plan — probably the best thirty seconds of setup in the whole product.

Now build your own

Menu, games, Wi-Fi card, your page, the whole poster kit — free. Logo and color, the banner actually showing, the wheel actually spinning, the detailed analytics — Pro.

Have one more look at /en/k/demo, decide which stops belong on your tables, then register free at /en/for-business. Venue name, email, a 6-digit code — no password, no card. Your page exists before your coffee gets cold. (Want promo art for a specific game? The media kit is right there too.)
