How to Play Never Have I Ever: Rules, Scoring and Tactics

Never Have I Ever is the confession classic: a 'Never have I ever…' line appears, the guilty confess in secret, and all answers flip open at once. This is the game where tables discover they only THOUGHT they knew each other.

How to play

1. A 'Never have I ever…' statement appears (3-12 players).
2. Everyone answers secretly within 25 seconds: I did / Never did.
3. Answers reveal simultaneously — the whole table sees who did what.
4. In lives mode a 'did' costs a life; in 10-round mode a fixed number of statements is played.

Scoring and winning

Lives mode: everyone starts with 5 lives; run out and you're eliminated, last one standing wins. 10 rounds: fewest confessions — the table's most innocent — wins. Not answering counts as sitting out; no penalty.

Tactics that win the table

• Honesty is the strategy: tables read faces, and the 'lying confessor' label outlives the game.
• In lives mode, early confessions relax you; carrying your last life makes you the table's favourite watch.
• Feed the admin pool with table-specific statements — the ones with names are nuclear.
