How to Play Vampire Village: Rules, Scoring and Tactics
The rules, scoring system and winning tactics of Vampire Village — how to play it at a café on phones, with no sign-up, step by step.
Vampire Village is the legend of party games: each night the village loses someone, each day it gathers to argue and hang a suspect. On phones there is no narrator — the server runs the night.
How to play
- Roles deal privately: vampire(s), a doctor, villagers (5-12 players).
- Night: the vampire picks a victim, the doctor picks someone to protect — each on their own phone.
- Morning: the victim is revealed (nobody dies if the doctor guessed right) and the day debate begins.
- The day vote hangs the most-suspected player, their role is revealed, and night falls again.
Scoring and winning
Villagers win by hanging every vampire; vampires win when they equal the villagers in number. Every phase has a timer — a silent or disconnected player can never freeze the game.
Tactics that win the table
- The first morning is gold: who accused too fast, who said nothing — vampires usually hide at the extremes.
- As the doctor, don't guard yourself every night; a doctor who breaks pattern lives longer.
- As the vampire, defend a villager sincerely — 'the good player who is evil' is the hardest read at any table.
Who is it for?
Tables of five or more who love to argue. The deepest social experience here — worthy of being the whole night's plan.
